Ecumen Roll-Out Attracts Media Attention

The launch of Ecumen was a bigger blast than a NASA launch. The Home Office celebrated the new name at a special roll-out event with Twins great Tony Oliva, administrators, housing managers and directors of nursing. Six white doves named "We" "Create" "Home" "For" "Older" "Adults" were released to commemorate Ecumen soaring to new heights. Tony "O," who originally planned to stay for an hour, stayed for two to accommodate everyone’s photo and autograph requests.

Ecumen residences shared cake with staff and residents on the "official launch" day of Ecumen. The region’s largest newspaper the Star Tribune did a wonderful feature on Ecumen and Kathryn Roberts. A week later Ecumen was the subject of the newspaper’s lead editorial. A feature story also appeared in the Twin Cities Business Journal. You can read these clips in the news section on webnet or on the Ecumen web site – www.ecumen.org.

Kathryn continues to do media interviews to share news of the new name. Ecumen coverage has included the Twin Cities’ WCCO-AM, KDLM-AM in Detroit Lakes, KLFD-AM in Litchfield, KDAL-AM in Duluth, the Owatonna People’s Press, Worthington Daily Globe, Grand Rapids Herald Review, BusinessNorth in Duluth, New Richmond News, Hutchinson Leader and the Chisago County Press. Other interviews are scheduled on  KTOE-AM in Mankato and KXRA-AM in Alexandria.
